While some syndromes have obvious physical characteristics (e.g., Down syndrome, Fragile X), others are less visible.  While people who have this syndrome share many of the same characteristics, it does not necessarily mean that all are present in the person who has a syndrome. The detail of several common syndromes and conditions are included in this module.

Syndromes and Conditions covered in the Understanding Common Syndromes Module include:

  • Down Syndrome
  • Tourette Syndrome
  • Prader-Willi Syndrome
  • Fragile X Syndrome
  • Turner Syndrome
  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
